AN IRISH company has helped a number of charities launch online appeals to raise funds for earthquake-torn Nepal.
Aid agencies and charities are using ammado technology to facilitate the movement of global donations from the public —as well as donations from companies and multinationals.
In just two weeks millions of dollars have been raised from donors in 135 different countries, and disbursed to Nepal thanks to the Dublin-headquartered company.
A global fundraising campaign can be set up on ammado “in minutes”, according to the firm.
The platform is being used by the Red Cross Red Crescent, Save the Children, Oxfam, CARE International, SOS Children’s Villages, Caritas and many other aid agencies responding in the area.
Set up in Dublin, ammado now has offices in London, Germany, Switzerland and Singapore.
