Irish Directors in Britain have 'pivotal' role to play in the economy

THE growing influence of Irish Directors in British boardrooms will be the focus of an event in London later today.

Irish-owned PR group Eulogy! will launch its Irish Director in UK plc 2015 report  as part of a panel discussion with a number of high-level business leaders.

Telefónica UK CEO, Ronan Dunne, will head up the panel to debate the changing profile and role of Irish professionals in the British economy.

Joining him will be Dee Forbes, President and Managing Director, Northern Europe at Discovery Channel; former BBC head of marketing Helen Normoyle, now chief marketing officer at furniture chain DFS; and Órna Ní-Chionna, deputy chairman of the National Trust, a non-executive director of Royal Mail, and chairman of the advisory board of consulting firm Eden McCallum.

The panel will discuss the latest business trends, the secrets of their own success and their views on the big issues facing the British economy.

Eulogy! Pr Group CEO Adrian Brady believes, that with a general election looming, this year is a pivotal one.

“The British-Irish economic relationship has never been stronger and the launch of Irish Directors in UK plc 2015 will highlight future opportunities for Irish businesses,” said Sligo-raised Mr Brady. "Irish Directors in UK plc 2015 will reveal the changing make-up of the Irish contribution to that economy.”
