WITH over 30 years’ experience in education recruitment, the team at Uniform Education are confident they are best placed to help British schools recruit Irish teachers for the start of September 2016 term.
The company was founded by its three directors — Dan Grace, Dave Owen, and Laura Myers, who between them have placed over 500 overseas teachers into British schools in the past 10 years.
According to Uniform Education, there is currently a big emphasis on recruiting teachers from Ireland due to the huge number of vacancies in British schools and the lack of qualified teachers coming through the system in Britain.
Vacancies exist for both primary and secondary teachers, as well as special education needs teachers.
Uniform Education prides itself on being able to pre-place teachers ready for their arrival in England.
“We listen to the requirements of our head teachers and candidates; to ensure we get the placement right,” says Director of Overseas recruitment, Dan Grace.
“Irish candidates also have the added benefit of being able to come across and visit the school once they have had their initial Skype interview, and we pay for their return flight to the UK.”
Uniform Education offers long term work within a set school or guaranteed work agreements for day to day supply cover, paying teachers according to the British teacher pay-scale.
Jason Eccles from Co. Cavan was placed in a school in London earlier this year.

At least 50 more are expected to join that number over the coming weeks after the company’s recruitment visit to University College Cork on February 29.
