LONDON retailer Heal's have teamed up with the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI) to curate a presentation of Irish designs across furniture making, lighting, ceramics, glass and giftware.
Design Ireland at Heal's will be in the Tottenham Court Road store — and its window displays — for three weeks from March 7-27 as a celebration of Irish creativity.
Selected designers include Ceadogán (woollen rugs), Andrew Ludick (ceramics), Simon Doyle (furniture), Adam Frew (ceramics), Mourne Textiles (weaving) and Arran Street East (ceramics).
Design Ireland at Heal's will be the luxury retailer’s first group presentation of the work of Irish designers and makers since the store held exhibitions of products designed at the Kilkenny Design Workshops in 1967 and 1972.
Brian McGee, acting CEO of DCCoI, said: “Ireland’s creative industries are brimming with exciting new talent.
"The products that have been selected for Design Island at Heal's were all designed and made in Ireland and display exceptional quality, heritage and beauty.”
