IRISH dance legend Michael Flatley’s stunning Irish mansion is for sale – and it’s certainly a sight to behold.
According to agents Knight Frank the property, on the market since 2015, has seen a surge in interest in the last few months as the high value property market begins to settle in the wake of the Brexit vote.

The property was bought by Flatley in 1999 for IR£3million (approx €4million) after the Irish American performer spotted it from a helicopter while flying over Cork.

In 2006, The Lord of the Dance star married Niamh O’Brien at the house, where stars such as Michael Jackson, Maureen O’Hara and Cliff Richard have all stayed.

But Knight Frank, the agency handling the sale, say that there has been a renewed interest in Castle Hyde since the Brexit vote.

Built in the Palladian style and to the design of the elder Abraham Hargrave, it features commanding views over the river and nearby countryside.
Picture: Daft.ieThe 35,000 sq ft four-storey home boasts six themed bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, six more modest bedrooms, a 20-seat cinema, spa and pool, two climate-controlled wine cellars and a whiskey room.
If that wasn’t enough, it also features a formal dining room, tennis court, gym, dance rehearsal room, two-storey library panelled in American walnut, and its own bar.

The entrance hall, which extends the length of the house, doubles as a banquet hall and can accommodate 300 guests.
