GARDAI are investigating after the body of a man was discovered in the Grand Canal in Dublin.
The find was made in the water at Percy Place, Dublin 4 yesterday afternoon.
The man's remains were taken to Dublin City Morgue and the Coroner was notified.
Authorities are yet to establish his identity.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on the deceased later today.
Gardaí at Irishtown are investigating and say their enquiries are ongoing.
The results of the post-mortem will determine the course of their investigation, they said.
